The Hello Kitty Island Adventure lost luggage quest asks you to find seven Packaged Luggage boxes and return each one to its owner: Badtz-maru, Chococat, Hangyodon, Hello Kitty, Keroppi, Kuromi and My Melody. According to the official wiki, the boxes sit in five regions: the north side of Spooky Swamp, Seaside Resort northwest of the Resort Plaza, the southwest corner of Gemstone Mountain, two spots in Rainbow Reef (the north side and the northeast corner), and two on Mount Hothead (the Caldera and the southeast side). Finding any one box starts the quest automatically.

This guide reflects the Welcome Home update, version 3.0, which the wiki says released on all platforms on October 8, 2026. The wiki's Packaged Luggage page was last edited on October 12, 2026, and that edit swapped an image without changing the location text. Everything below comes from the wiki's written descriptions rather than a hands-on check, and details can differ between platforms and future versions.

01

All 7 lost luggage locations at a glance

The wiki lists the boxes by owner in alphabetical order, so the numbers below are only there to help you tick them off. The location column repeats the wiki's own wording. It gives a region plus a side, corner or landmark, not coordinates or a step-by-step route.

These short descriptions are all the text the wiki gives for the Hello Kitty Island Adventure lost luggage locations. The wiki's Packaged Luggage page also shows an in-game screenshot and a map image for each box, which this guide does not reproduce. If a description feels too vague, those images on the official wiki are the most precise reference.

Two of the descriptions name fast travel points directly. The Resort Plaza is a fast travel stop in Seaside Resort, and the Caldera is the fast travel point at the summit of Mount Hothead. For the other five boxes the wiki only names a side or corner of the region, so you will need to explore that area yourself.

02

How the Lost Luggage quest starts

Lost Luggage is an Around The Island quest. Its quest page lists Cinnamoroll as the quest giver and the Delivery Service quest as the prerequisite. The quest description reads: "Find and deliver all of the Packaged Luggage to their proper owners."

The wiki explains that the quest starts automatically after you find one Packaged Luggage. Cinnamoroll then explains the situation, but talking to him is optional and not required to do or finish the quest. A gallery caption on the same page points out that his dialogue can be missed.

This is meant to be a long-term quest. The wiki notes that it does not block any of the seven owners from taking part in other quests, so you can collect boxes alongside the main story. You can check your progress in the Quests app on the Menu Tablet, which the wiki says sits in the upper right corner of the screen.

The wiki's general Around The Island page says most quests in this category unlock randomly once their requirements are met, usually about one per week. Lost Luggage is different, because its own page ties the start to finding a box. The wiki does not say what happens if you pick up a box before finishing Delivery Service, so we cannot confirm that order.

03

Before you start: Delivery Service and fast travel

Delivery Service is a Right Tools quest from Kuromi. It unlocks once you reach friendship level 1 with her. Kuromi meets you by a fast travel mailbox in Spooky Swamp and asks you to activate it, then sends you on foot to Small Gift Big Smile in Seaside Resort to deliver a Pumpkin to My Melody.

My Melody then asks you to take a Coastal Potted Plant Gift to Kuromi. Outside, you meet Cinnamoroll by the Resort Plaza fast travel mailbox and activate it too. From there you can teleport back to Spooky Swamp, hand over the gift, and hear more from Cinnamoroll about how the mailboxes work.

Finishing Delivery Service unlocks fast travel, which is the main reason it matters here. The wiki says fast travel works from the mailboxes themselves and from the Map app on the Menu Tablet. Cinnamoroll's own page describes him as the island's mail carrier who also runs the fast travel service.

04

Reaching each region

The seven boxes are spread across five regions of Friendship Island, so some may be out of reach until you open more of the map. Here is what the wiki says about access and fast travel in each.

Seaside Resort

Seaside Resort is the first area you unlock, right after the airplane introduction. Its fast travel stops include the Resort Plaza, Resort Gate and Resort Docks, among others. Chococat's box is the only one in this region.

Spooky Swamp, Gemstone Mountain and Mount Hothead

Spooky Swamp opens when you complete Power Up the Gate, a story quest from Chococat. The wiki says Gemstone Mountain and Mount Hothead are reachable any time after that same quest. Flippers make the trip easier, but they are not required, because a beach path leads north out of Spooky Swamp.

Spooky Swamp's fast travel stops are Spooky Swamp, Nature Preserve and Ghost Tour Ride. Gemstone Mountain's include Gemstone Town, Oasis, Gemstone Beach and Gemstone Corral. Mount Hothead's are Mount Hothead, Hot Springs, Upper Ruins Entrance and Caldera.

Rainbow Reef

Rainbow Reef is an underwater area. The wiki says you can travel across it once you have Flippers, from the Finding Flippers quest, but diving and reaching most of its contents needs the Snorkel. The Snorkel plans come from the Deep Diving quest, which unlocks at friendship level 6 with Kuromi once you have also finished Finding Flippers and Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp.

Two boxes, Hello Kitty's and Kuromi's, are in Rainbow Reef. The wiki does not say whether either one requires diving, so if you cannot find them from the surface, getting the Snorkel is the safe next step. Rainbow Reef's fast travel stops are the Comedy Club, Kelp Maze and Sunken Ship, plus Heart of the Island, which opens during the Friendship Never Fades quest series.

05

Matching each box to its owner

All seven boxes share the item name Packaged Luggage, so the wiki points to two clues. Each item description hints at the owner, and each box carries a matching tag next to the Quest tag. The wiki lists the item's rarity as Legendary.

The hints, summarized in our own words:

  • Badtz-maru: a box of tricks that made a clown-horn sound when dropped, tagged Tropical.
  • Chococat: a worn, well-traveled old box, tagged Book.
  • Hangyodon: barnacle-covered cargo that smells like the sea floor, tagged Fish.
  • Hello Kitty: a warm box that smells of apple pie, tagged Bakery.
  • Keroppi: a box that chirps with frogs and bugs, tagged Swampy.
  • Kuromi: a spooky box that makes ghost noises at night, tagged Fall.
  • My Melody: a little gift box that smells of strawberries and almonds, tagged Pink.

The wiki describes the Quest tag as a label for important quest items that usually have no use beyond the quest. The quest infobox lists the seven boxes under required items that are consumed, so expect the quest to use them up.

06

Where to find the owners

Six of the seven boxes are in a different region from where their owner usually is, so it helps to know where each character spends time. These spots come from the wiki's region pages. Welcome Home added Character Homes for all seven owners, and the wiki does not say whether these change where they hang out.

OwnerWhere the wiki says they usually are
My MelodyHer shop, Small Gift Big Smile, near the Resort Plaza in Seaside Resort
Hello KittyHello Kitty Cafe, near the Resort Plaza in Seaside Resort
Badtz-maruThe Comic and Bait Shop on the docks southwest of the Resort Plaza
ChococatEast Seaside Resort, by his tent near the Resort Gate fast travel stop
KeroppiNear the Comic and Bait Shop, or southern Spooky Swamp near the Nature Preserve
KuromiCentral Spooky Swamp, or her shop, the Witch's Hut
HangyodonThe Comedy Club in southeastern Rainbow Reef

Four of the seven owners, My Melody, Hello Kitty, Badtz-maru and Chococat, are listed as Seaside Resort residents, and Keroppi spends time there too, so it can save time to carry several boxes back in one trip. The wiki notes that Chococat does not wander around the island unless he is accompanying you. For more on each character, see the character guide.

07

Rewards and what to do next

The wiki's quest page does not list any reward for completing Lost Luggage, so we cannot confirm one; its infobox only shows the seven boxes as required items. The page also has no platform note, and we found no source saying the quest differs between platforms.

The wiki also shows a newer quest icon, with the file labelled 2025, and keeps the original in its gallery, without describing any change to the box locations.

Once the boxes are delivered, the quest guide covers the other Around The Island quests and how they unlock. If you are still opening regions, the map guide explains how each area connects, and the beginner's guide covers Power Up the Gate, Delivery Service and other early quests. For the Snorkel, the gift guide can help you reach friendship level 6 with Kuromi, one of the Deep Diving requirements.
